In Progress for "The Face Of Surprise"
The process of the piece started with a cool and relaxed backdrop for the canvas. The idea was that the base color will be emphasizing a low vibrational appeal. However, after looking at the direct contrast of the facial expression being consumed by this cool, relaxed aesthetic, I decided to take a different turn and make the energy of the piece more explosive to represent the experiences of an overwhelming comprehension/epiphany.
