About
Growing up , Chicago-based artist Trotter Alexander turned to drawing and doodling as his main form of catharsis; Art gave Alexander the power to create worlds outside of the one he was living in. As he further honed his craft, his habit of drawing soon turned into his passion; As he further directs his artistic visions to the world. Motivated from his experiences of being unseen, Alexander creates works dedicated to making works not only to beautify spaces, but also to have positive real-life influence. His works address topics such as culture, self-hate/love, race, and existentialism, shift the existing paradigm of art & art-consumerism.
Since the begging of his career, Alexander was always ambitious with every opportunity presented, propelling his career exponentially in the early stages. In doing this, he has cumulated a support base not only on average art supporters but known art entities such as Raymond A. Thomas, Czr Prz as well as private art collectors. Later in his career, he pushed out his first product; “No Peace Until Justice” posters earlier in the year 2020 in protest of George Floyd. With the booming positive feedback, Alexander's posters sold out in the first week of release. He later donated 50% of the proceeds to multiple black-led, non-profit organizations such as “My Block, My Hood, My City”. Alexander still tries to outdo himself with every new project/painting he works on.
